Our School Day

We start School every morning at 8.50 am in our Registration Classes. You will have either one or two Registration Teachers - but they will stay the same for you throughout S1. That means they will get to know you well - and you can talk to them about any worries you have. 

Registration lasts for 10 minutes. You will be given information about what's happening in the School , letters to take home, and events that are coming up.  You can attend your Registration Class from 8.45 onwards if you are early and would like a warm room to sit in with your friends!

Every period lasts 50 minutes. There are 2 periods before interval.

There is one  interval of 15 minutes in the morning - from 10:40 am (the end of Period 2) to 10:55 am (the start of Period 3). You can catch up with your friends in the playground and get a quick snack.

There are another 2 periods after interval, taking you up to lunchtime.

School Lunches are amazing with lots of really good choices. Whether you have a school meal or packed lunch you can eat in the hall. S1 pupils are not allowed to go to the town for lunch until later in the year. Mr Swan makes this decision based on how responsible pupils have been!

Monday and Tuesday are 7 period days. That means we finish School at 3.50pm

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are 6 period days. That means we finish at 3pm.
